To alleviate this problem, V2Solutions offers a SQL Server 2005 Database Migration service to standardize clients’ environments under a single platform and improve the need to maintain multiple platforms for multiple applications.

• Completion of a SQL Server 2005 Readiness Check
• Session with all stakeholders to review the process, timeline and responsibilities for the migration project.
• Association with internal and external application providers to determine detailed requirements and timing for the SQL Server 2005 migration process.
• Setup of test environment for the SQL Server 2005 migration target.
• Perform initial database migration, or proof of concept in a test environment for each database and a provide migration requirements assessment.
• Provide support to application owners in order to support the move to SQL Server 2005.
• Review application and database performance statistics and produce server sizing for production SQL Server 2005 environment.
• Review and document licensing requirements for the SQL Server 2005 requirement.
• Produce project plan for completion of the SQL Server 2005 migration.
• Practicum to present plan and process to all stakeholders.
• Project Manage the upgrade process through to signoff in production environment.
• Identify requirements for ongoing support of the migrated SQL Server 2005 environment.
• Produce post upgrade DBA documentation for handover to the customer.
